Paul Burke named Distinguished Visiting Professor by City of Hope

The Irell and Manella Graduate School of Biological Sciences at the Beckman Research Institute, City of Hope, today appointed Paul Burke, Principal of Burke Bioventures, as Visiting Professor in the Department of Molecular Medicine. Dr. Burke will be in residence at the City of Hope campus in Duarte, California for the duration of the six-week appointment. In addition to providing two lectures to the broader Institute community during his stay, Dr. Burke will provide lectures as part of a graduate level course “Advanced Topics in Medicinal Chemistry: Drug Delivery,” together with City of Hope Prof. Jacob Berlin. A hallmark of the Graduate School is its interdisciplinary research approach, with a strong emphasis on translational research: applying basic science breakthroughs to clinical problems. The program includes training in chemical, molecular, and cellular biology. City of Hope is a private, not-for-profit clinical research center, hospital and graduate medical school located in Duarte, California. City of Hope has been designated a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute, a branch of the National Institutes of Health.
